We have a wonderful array of solid and textured wools, hand dyed in luscious colors, ready to work into your hooked rugs, penny rugs, wool appliqués, craft or sewing projects. Dye lots and textures may vary from batch to batch, depending on what wools we have in stock and the magic of the dye bath. We can't give exact sizes on the wool swatches as they all shrink up differently...but we can say that before dyeing we start with a full yard which measures approx. 36" x 57". Then the yardage is divided into swatches measuring 1/2 yd, 1/4 yd, 1/8 etc.

We intentionally mix batches of hand dyed wool when hooking our own rugs as we feel it gives the hooked rugs more of a primitive look. Using these hand dyed wools in penny rugs or rug appliqués gives your design a richer more subtle finish. Custom orders are welcomed. E-mail us for your request or send a sample of color (e.g. fabric, paper, paint chip, etc.) for us to match. Minimum cut is 1/4 yard. NOTE: Any color can be over dyed on a texture.
