Cranberry Coffee Cake
This
is a delicious, simple treat with a refreshing tartness
you don't usually find in your average coffee cake.
| Beat
well: |

stick butter |

1
cup sugar |
|
2
eggs |
| Add: |
1/2
pt. sour cream |
|
1
tsp. vanilla |
|
2
cups flour |
|
1
tsp. baking soda |
Beat
2 minutes.
Pour half the batter into a greased tube pan. Spread
1 large can of whole cranberry sauce (un-drained)
over the batter. Cover sauce with remaining batter.
Do NOT under bake.
Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. |

Hill Spice Cookies
Pour
a glass of milk and take a break with this superb molasses
cookies. These cookies are great for a crowd, rug hook-ins,
and gifts.

together and beat 'til fluffy: |

1/2 cups shortening |

cups brown sugar |
|

eggs |

tsp. vanilla |

cup molasses |
| Sift
together and Add: |
|

1/2 cups flour |
|
4
tsp baking soda |
|

tsp. salt |
|
3
tsp. cinnamon |
|
2
tsp ginger |
|
1/2
tsp. nutmeg |
|
1/2
tsp. cloves |
| Chill
dough for a few hours then drop by large spoonfuls
into a bowl of sugar. Roll into balls and place on
a greased cookie sheet. Bake @ 350 for 10-12
min. Makes approx 5 dozen large cookies. |
